Overview

SEND / SEMH Teachers – Primary & Secondary Opportunities (Hailsham Area) This specialist SEMH school supports primary and secondary pupils who have not always found success in mainstream education. Behaviour can be challenging at times, but staff work within a clear, consistent framework and are never expected to manage difficult situations alone. Collaboration, emotional safety and strong relationships underpin everything the school does.

We are seeking SEND / SEMH Teachers who are confident, reflective and motivated by teaching in a setting where regulation and relationships come before results.

The Role
  • Teaching small classes of pupils with SEMH needs
  • Planning and delivering accessible, engaging lessons
  • Creating structured, predictable classroom environments
  • Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils
  • Working closely with support staff and pastoral teams
  • Supporting both academic learning and emotional development

This is a role for teachers who value impact over pace and progress over perfection.

Previous SEMH experience is beneficial but not essential. Strong classroom presence and mindset are key.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
