We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of English to join our thriving Academy. The successful candidate will inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering a love of literature and language while ensuring excellent progress and achievement.

Hailsham Academy is a split‑site, all‑through school serving 1,500 students in the secondary phase and approximately 300 students in the primary phase. We are situated close to Eastbourne and the south coast, just minutes from a National Park and Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Staff travel to Hailsham from a variety of locations within the southeast.

Since our last Ofsted inspection in March 2023, we have made important changes to our leadership structure, pastoral structure, and curriculum implementation. We joined MARK Education Trust in September 2025 to enhance teaching and learning throughout the Academy.

We expect all staff to hold or be willing to obtain an enhanced DBS check or an Enhanced Check for Regulated Activity with the Disclosure & Barring Services.
