Position Description:
Ryder is hiring a Warehouse Automation Team Lead in Hagerstown, Maryland.
Warehouse positions pay weekly.
Schedule:

Products being handled:
Computers/Printers. Equipment: AGVs, Automation. Various warehouse fulfillment specialist roles support distribution across the US. - Lead and drive continuous improvement for optimal efficiency of operations.
- Perform warehouse functions such as loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
- Allocate resources and organize daily work duties to ensure efficient shift/team operations.
- Inspire and guide team members toward improved KPI performance using appropriate leadership methods.
- Orient new employees and provide the information, technology, and tools needed to perform their jobs.
- Promote health and safety practices within the warehouse.
- Handle day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse environment (e.g., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
- Complete and submit daily reports and propose action plans to enhance operations and service levels.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- One year or more powered industrial truck experience preferred.
- One year or more experience as a Team Lead preferred.
- One year or more experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word) preferred.
- One year or more warehouse experience preferred.
- Knowledge and/or experience with an RF scanner required.
- Valid forklift operator’s license/certification.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective leadership skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team; willingness to work with minimal supervision.
- Excellent organizational skills; proactive in taking ownership of responsibilities.
- Be able to maintain composure under pressure and follow health and safety methods.
- Bilingual (for Québec locations only).
