Manager Warehouse Team Lead 1st Shift

Position Description

Ryder is hiring a Permanent Full Time Team Lead in Hagerstown, Maryland. Warehouse positions pay weekly.
Hourly Pay: $23.69 per hour
Schedules Available:
First Shift Sunday‑Tuesday and every other Wednesday 7:00 am – 7:00 pm, Thursday‑Saturday and every other Wednesday 7:00 am – 7:00 pm.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One year or more powered industrial truck experience preferred
• One year or more previous experience as Team Lead preferred
• One year or more Microsoft Office experience preferred
• One year or more previous warehouse experience preferred
• Knowledge of an RF scanner required
• Valid forklift operator’s license certified
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Effective leadership skills
• Flexibility to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
• Performs work independently with minimal supervision
• Excellent organizational skills
• Proactively approaches responsibilities
• Maintains composure under pressure
• Working using health and safety methods
• Bilingual (for Québec locations only)

• Lead and ensure continuous improvement efforts for optimal efficiency of operations.
• Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Allocate resources and organize and distribute daily work duties to members for optimal shift/team logistics.
• Inspire and guide team members toward improved KPI’s using appropriate leadership styles and methods.
• Assist in providing necessary orientation, technology, and tools to employees.
• Promote health and safety working methods within the warehouse.
• Deal with day‑to‑day paperwork in a warehouse environment.
• Complete and submit daily reports and propose action plans to enhance operations effectiveness and service levels.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
