Warehouse Team Lead 1st Shift | Ryder Supply Chain Solutions | Hagerstown, MD

Ryder is immediately hiring a Warehouse VAS Team Lead to manage first‑shift operations in Hagerstown, Maryland.

The role offers hourly pay of $23.69, with a weekly pay cycle. The schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:00 am–3:30 pm.

• Lead and ensure continuous improvement efforts for optimal efficiency of the operations.
• Perform warehouse functions, including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Allocate resources and organize daily work duties to team members, ensuring optimal shift/team operational logistics.
• Inspire and guide team members toward improved KPIs using appropriate leadership styles and methods.
• Assist in providing appropriate orientation for employees, giving them the necessary information, technology, and tools.
• Promote health and safety working methods within the warehouse.
• Handle day‑to‑day paperwork (e.g., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
• Complete and submit daily reports, proposing action plans to enhance operations effectiveness and service levels.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High‑school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• One year or more powered industrial truck experience (preferred).
• One year or more previous experience as a Team Lead (preferred).
• One year or more Microsoft Office experience (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) (preferred).
• One year or more previous warehouse experience (preferred).
• Knowledge and/or experience with an RF scanner (advanced required).
• Valid forklift operator’s license.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Effective leadership skills.
• Flexibility to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Minimal supervision required for independent work.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Proactive approach to responsibilities.
• Maintains composure under pressure.
• Works using health and safety methods.
• Bilingual (for Quebec locations only).
• Knowledge or experience with an RF scanner (advanced required).
