Hagerstown Community College is pleased to announce that applications are currently being accepted for an Athletic Trainer position.
SUMMARY STATEMENT: This position will provide athletic training services for the athletes of the college’s intercollegiate sports teams and athletic events sponsored by the College. This is a 12-month position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIESEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s Degree required in Athletic Training, Sports Medicine or related field, from an accredited college or university. Master’s Degree preferred. NATABOC certification (National Athletic Trainers' Association Board of Certification). A minimum of one year’s experience working as an ATC is preferred. Current CPR/AED/First Aid instructor certification required. If hired without a master’s degree, the employee would be required to obtain one within a pre-determined timeframe.
Maryland licensure eligible/approved prior to start date.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES: The individual will display strong oral, written and interpersonal skills. This position requires a flexible schedule, including evening and weekend work to accommodate the athletic program.
Hagerstown Community College (HCC) was founded in 1946 as the first of its kind in Maryland. The College serves more than 5,000 credit students and 6,000 non-credit students each year. More than 100 programs of study are available for university transfer, career preparation, and personal enrichment.
HCC has 14 intercollegiate sports teams: baseball, basketball, cross country, golf, track, soccer, softball, and volleyball and is a member of the Maryland Junior College Conference (MDJuCo) and Region XX of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA)
