Work You'll Do

We are seeking an energetic and highly skilled Software Automation Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in software engineering practices and extensive experience with Python, as well as other foundational languages such as .NET, Java, JavaScript, Power Shell, Ruby, Pearl, and additional languages commonly associated with automation. This role requires the ability to conduct end-to-end processes, design the best automation solution, and develop the solutions.

The successful candidate will also be eager to learn and implement other automation tools like Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and explore AI solutions such as Agentic AI.

The Deloitte Intelligent Automation (IA) Specialist engages with client stakeholders, IT personnel, process exports, software vendor, engineering/support teams, and other members of the DPR engagement to analyze and qualify processes for automation, as well as design, implement, test, deploy, support, and operate Intelligent Automation (IA) capabilities in the client's environments. This role includes serving as a process engineer, technology implementer, and solution developer, and client advisor.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Active TS/SCI Clearance w/ Polygraph
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2+ years experience with Python and at least one other foundational language (.NET, Java, JavaScript).
  • 2+ years experience in software engineering practices, including version control, testing, and continuous integration.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
  • Must be willing to work 100% onsite in Annapolis, MD

Preferred:

  • Design, develop, and maintain automation solutions using Python and other foundational languages (.NET, Java, JavaScript, Power Shell, etc.).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand end-to-end processes and identify opportunities for automation.
  • Implement best practices in software engineering, including code reviews, testing, and documentation.
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automation scripts and processes.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in automation and AI.
  • Learn and implement new automation tools and technologies, including RPA and AI solutions like Agentic AI.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to understand complex processes.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.

At Deloitte, it is typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $93,200 to $155,400.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
