Security Officer - Community Patrol in Hagerstown, MD
. You will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. This is a Part-Time role; you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy food and beverage location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents.

: $18.50 / Hour

Days and times vary by assignment. Example:
Saturday and Sunday, 08:00 AM – 04:00 PM.

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, drivers, and visitors by following Allied Universal security procedures, site policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage production and/or distribution location.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, warehouses, docks, parking lots, and perimeter fencing; deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Control access through designated entry points by verifying identification, managing visitor and contractor check-in/check-out, issuing temporary badges as directed, and directing traffic for trucks and deliveries per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents calmly, including alarms, suspicious activity, medical calls, fire-related alerts, and facility disruptions; notify site leadership and emergency services as required.
• Monitor cameras, intrusion and/or fire panels, and other security systems; document patrols and incidents in daily activity reports; communicate observations to supervisors and oncoming personnel.

• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check as required by federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Drug screen as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
