As a Security Officer - Full-Time Logistics Screener in Hagerstown, MD
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help keep operations running smoothly by monitoring access points, screening visitors and deliveries, and completing security-related checks and reports. You will stay highly visible, communicate clearly with team members and site leadership, and respond to routine issues with professionalism.

• Provide customer service to site personnel, drivers, and visitors by carrying out security-related screening procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Screen employees, visitors, and deliveries for authorized access using identification checks, visitor logs, and package and/or property screening processes.
• Monitor entry and exit points and coordinate with onsite personnel regarding access issues, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations to help deter unauthorized entry.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and communicating with site contacts and/or public responders as needed.
• Conduct periodic checks of screening areas, staging areas, and nearby perimeter points as directed, with working environments and conditions that may vary by location.

• A Guard Card and/or applicable security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
