OverviewEntry‑level sales positions supporting the DIY automotive parts business. The role includes retail sales, DIY services (battery installation, wiper blade replacement, etc.), and inventory management. Positions may be part‑time or full‑time and favor candidates with fleet safety certification.
Primary Responsibilities- Provide an excellent selling experience for in‑store visits and phone calls.
- Achieve personal sales goals and help the store meet its sales targets.
- Offer DIY services such as battery installation, testing, and wiper blade installation.
- Maintain store product and operational standards.
- Manage inventory processes, including truck put‑away, shoot‑outs, cycle counts, and back‑stock organization.
- Maintain cleanliness of the store, floors, bathrooms, front area, dusting, and parking lot.
- Assist with general stocking, including truck stocking and back‑stock organization.
- Safely deliver parts to customers as needed.
- Basic driving and navigation ability.
- Proficiency with delivery board systems.
- Friendly communication and strong customer rapport.
- Ability to locate and stock parts accurately.
- Safety knowledge and competency with safety equipment.
- Operation of inventory systems and store equipment.
- Parts and automotive system knowledge.
- Proficiency with POS and parts lookup systems.
- Expertise in testing and diagnostic equipment for DIY service.
Job Skills
- Speak and write in English (Spanish a plus). Communicate effectively and build strong relationships with customers, peers, and management.
- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals.
- Perform basic math accurately: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
- Work an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends as required.
- 2–3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment, providing superior customer experiences.
- Safely deliver parts to customers as needed.
- Pick and stage parts for customer orders.
- Pick up returns and cores.
- Drop off weekly/monthly sales flyers.
- Collect credit accounts daily.
- Basic driving and navigation ability.
- Proficiency with delivery board systems.
- Friendly communication.
- Ability to locate and stock parts.
- Safety knowledge and competency with safety equipment.
- Operation of inventory systems (back‑stock) and store equipment.
Job Skills

- Automotive parts experience is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Fleet safety certification required.
Work involves walking or standing, lifting or moving up to 50 pounds routinely, and occasionally up to 100 pounds. Requires good vision, hearing, and the ability to use hands, arms, and fingers. Employees must be able to talk and hear, and reach with hands and arms while climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling as necessary.
Work EnvironmentPrimary work is indoors with occasional outdoor exposure to weather. Employees may encounter moving mechanical parts, high or precarious places, toxic or caustic chemicals, electrical shock risk, explosives, vibration, and moderate noise levels.
CompensationUS $14.50–15.41 per hour.
