Nurse Practitioner - Family Medicine; Behavioral Health Clinic Part-Time

Required Qualifications

• Education – Master’s degree in Nursing required. Doctorate in Nursing preferred. Completion of a Certified Nurse Practitioner program.
• Experience – Five years as a Registered Nurse; one year as a Nurse Practitioner preferred.
• Licensure/Certification – Nurse Practitioner license in Maryland; current DEA Registration and CDS permit; current BLS (CPR); ACLS and PALS (if applicable); ACLS for Wound Center only.
• Knowledge/Skills/Abilities – Critical thinking, extensive clinical competence, team collaboration at all levels; excellent verbal and written communication; strong organizational skills; fluency in ICD‑10, CPT coding or commitment to acquire; EHR computer access.

• Hours:
  
  8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday and Tuesday.
• No after‑hours call – your evenings are yours.
• “Round and Go” model:
  Finish your H&Ps and consults early; you’re still on call until 5 PM but free to go if not needed.

• Average daily volume: ~15 patients plus lab reviews and EKG interpretation.
• Scope:
  All medical management outside of psychiatric care (low to moderate complexity).
• Age range:
  Patients 8 years and older.
• Procedures:
  Minimal – mainly cerumen removal and occasional wound care.

• Complete History & Physicals (H&Ps) for all new admissions within 24 hours.
• Provide medical consults upon request from attending psychiatrists.
• Conduct follow‑ups for chronic conditions and lab value reviews.
• Independently read EKGs (cardiologist oversight not required).
