Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cath Lab position requiring 2 years of Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology experience with ACLS and BLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Cath Lab unit with adult and geriatric patients

• Day shift: 4x10 hour shifts from 7:00 to 17:30

• On-call required for nights and weekends with a rotation of approximately 9-13 days of call in a six-week period

• Self-scheduling is available

• Floating may be required according to facility policies and candidate experience

• Uses the Epic EMR system and experience with this system is necessary

• Procedural sedation required

• Scrubs are provided by the facility

• Responsible for providing care during cardiac catheterization and interventional radiology procedures for adult and geriatric patients

• Modules must be completed during orientation and annually, with an average duration of 4-8 hours

• Must expect to work some holidays and weekends as part of the regular schedule

• Time off requests must be approved and presented prior to assignment

• Travelers who live within 50 miles are considered local and paid at a lower rate

• Travelers are eligible for extension after one year but must separate for 90 days to return

• Former permanent employees must be gone for a minimum of one year before returning as a traveler

Requirements

• Active MD or compact RN license required

• Minimum of 2 years of Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology experience

• Current certifications in ACLS and BLS are required

• Experience with procedural sedation is required

• Experience with Epic EMR is required

• Flu vaccination is required with no exemptions allowed

• Not available to first-time travelers
