Monday - Friday w/ alternating weekends
RN pay: $35.00 - $43.00/hour
Plus generous shift differentials
- Provide the highest degree of quality nursing care to the residents following Fahrney-Keedy’s policies and procedures.
- Supervise the day-to-day nursing activities in accordance with current Federal, State and local standards, guidelines and regulations as requested.
- Monitor the CNAs and GNA’s assigned to the floor to ensure the residents receive quality care.
As an LPN/RN, you are delegated the administrative authority, responsibilities and accountability necessary for carrying out your assigned duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES- Ratings refer to performance expectations for various duties (exceeding, meeting, or needs improvement).
- Provide admissions assessments for new and re-admissions and routine rounds at shift start and end.
- Participate in and document nursing reports, patient care, treatments and care plans; review resident records for treatment, medications, diets and orders.
- Notify physicians of changes in residents’ condition and coordinate with families as appropriate.
- Administer professional nursing services including medication administration, catheterization, tube feeding, wound care, vital signs, transfers, feeding and toileting; document services accurately and timely.
- Obtain specimens for tests as ordered; monitor seriously ill residents as needed; ensure skin integrity and preventive measures for ulcers.
- Ensure CMA’s and GNA’s provide care per care plans; meet with residents and families; follow post-incident procedures and postmortem care per policy.
- Medication administration: verify resident identity, ensure accuracy, manage inventories, stock medications, document refusals, and dispose of medications per policy.
- Treatment administration: perform dressing changes, wound assessments, tube feedings, catheter care, oxygen administration, and other physician-ordered treatments.
- Charting & Documentation: complete required electronic documentation for admissions, transfers, discharges, orders, accidents and treatment responses; ensure continuity of care through review of prior notes.
- Administrative functions: support performance evaluations, staff development, and maintain professional rapport with inter- and intra-departmental staff.
- Resident rights: maintain confidentiality, treat residents with dignity, ensure privacy of care, knock before entering rooms, report grievances, and honor treatment refusals when requested.
- Specific requirements: language, nursing knowledge, teamwork, decision-making, communication, adaptability, and non-threatening conduct.
- High School Diploma or GED and completion of an approved nursing program; knowledge of long-term care laws and regulations.
- Must be an LPN or RN in accordance with Maryland laws.
