Nurse Practitioner

Aspen Medical invites Nurse Practitioners to partner in delivering quality medical care to patients across the United States and worldwide. This role supports a team providing competent, compassionate care to the patient population in Hagerstown, MD.

Responsibilities & Qualifications
  • All staff must be U.S. citizens or Green Card holders. Sponsorship is not available.
  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program recognized by ACEN or CCNE.
  • Hold a master’s degree in nursing.
  • Maintain an active, unrestricted registered nursing license in Maryland.
  • Meet clinical competency requirements as specified by credentialing instructions.
  • Be certified as a Nurse Practitioner by ANCC, AANP, or other recognized national nursing certification organization (e.g., PNCP, AAN, NCC for OB/GYN and neonatal specialties).
  • Hold BLS certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross).
  • Provide outcome‑based nurse practitioner services within privileges granted, including general screening, medical care and examinations for routine, acute and chronic conditions; administer immunizations; diagnose, treat, counsel patients; direct and teach staff; give evidence‑based education; participate in continuing education and quality improvement.
  • Diagnose and treat patients with common acute conditions, chronic illnesses, or minor trauma following protocols, guidelines and Nurse Practice Acts, or in consultation with a physician.
  • Promote preventive care and health maintenance via education and counseling.
  • Communicate and collaborate with a diverse team to inform plans and actions; teach and educate patients, families and organization.
  • Identify isolation‑required conditions and apply universal precautions.
  • Attend staff meetings for case discussion, continuing education and quality improvement.
