Director of Nursing
Brook Lane Health Services is a leading behavioral healthcare organization dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health and addiction treatment across the lifespan.
Essential Responsibilities- Provide leadership and oversight for all nursing practice, ensuring compliance with professional standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices in psychiatric care
- Direct, coach, and develop nursing leadership and staff to promote accountability, professional growth, and clinical excellence
- Ensure effective coordination of inpatient psychiatric nursing services across the continuum of care
- Lead quality improvement, patient після safety, and performance improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with medical staff, executive leadership, and interdisciplinary teams to advance clinical outcomes and service delivery
- Manage departmental budgets, staffing models, and resource utilization
- Foster a culture of open communication, ethical practice, and patient- and family-centered care
- Serve as a nursing liaison to organizational committees and external partners
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required
- Master’s degree in psychiatric or mental health nursing, or its equivalent, from a school of nursing accredited by the National League for Nursing is preferred
- Incumbents will be required to obtain a Master’s degree in psychiatric or mental health nursing, or its equivalent, within four (4) years of hire
- Five (5) years of supervisory experience in a progressively responsible healthcare environment
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in an inpatient psychiatric healthcare setting
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Maryland or eligibility for Maryland licensure
- Strong leadership, communication, and change-management skills
- Demonstrated expertise in psychiatric nursing practice and operations
- Experience with quality improvement, regulatory compliance, and performance management
- Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse clinical and administrative teams
