Overview

Solving challenges is the very foundation of who we are. Our founder, sea captain Robert Fergusson, started our company in 1921 to keep his ship intact, which led to the Rust-Oleum Corporation. The same passion drives us today as a global leader in protective paints and coatings for home and industry, with a team of over 2,000 people worldwide.

The same spirit that drove the Captain to create the world’s first rust-preventative paint still drives us today. We see a problem, work diligently until we’ve perfected a solution, and continue to deliver cutting-edge, durable, and innovative products.
