Facilities Maintenance Technician III; Night Shift

We’re looking for a hands-on, solution-driven Maintenance Technician III to join our team at our brand-new, ultramodern 1.2 million square foot warehouse. This facility features cutting-edge automation, and you’ll help keep it running smoothly, safely, and efficiently.

You’ll coordinate with outside vendors, tackle repairs, handle preventive maintenance, and help us stay on budget by tracking maintenance costs.

Location:

Hagerstown, MD

• Assist in the repair of warehouse equipment, such as conveyor belts and forklifts, and oversee periodic movement, upkeep, and replacement of racking.
• Communicate with outside vendors regarding warranty issues or repairs that fall outside the certification level of the technician.
• Ensure all equipment batteries are watered and maintained per manufacturer recommendations.
• Support a variety of maintenance projects, operational improvements, and scheduled preventive maintenance on assets and equipment.
• Promote warehouse yard efficiency, including upkeep and disposal of pallets/skids.
• Operate various equipment, including forklifts and floor scrubbers.
• Report forklift issues to leadership promptly to maximize uptime and maintain a safe work environment.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment by following safety protocols (e.g., LOTO, PPE).
• Maintain a log of all preventive and corrective maintenance using internal systems.
• Make recommendations for repair, rebuild, or replacement of key components and equipment as needed.
• Meet performance standards regarding efficiency, accuracy, and quality of work.
• Work with team members and leadership to meet daily, weekly, and monthly departmental goals.
• Abide by all company and warehouse policies; be flexible to work in other positions/departments as needed.

• Stand/walk up to 12 hours per day.
• Effective communication using speech, vision, and hearing.
• Regular use of hands for grasping and manipulation.
• Regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
• Regularly lift/carry/push/pull up to 75 lbs.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to adapt to changing business needs with diplomacy and emotional intelligence.
• Customer-service-oriented attitude with a desire to exceed expectations.

This role does not require a degree. Relevant skills and experience and alignment with core values are valued above all else.

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a distribution environment; maintenance experience and forklift certification preferred but not required.
