Facilities Supervisor (Hagerstown, MD)Lifetime Brands is moving into the neighborhood!
We are building a brand‑new state‑of‑the‑art warehouse in Hagerstown, MD. This new build will allow us to meet growing demand and establish an even more efficient and modern operation. We are currently seeking a Facilities Supervisor to be a crucial part of this transition, helping us establish new processes as we settle into our new home.
Position SummaryThe Maintenance Supervisor will lead maintenance department projects and perform the work with the team members such as set up, adjusting and maintaining of warehouse equipment. Maintain upkeep of the overall building. This role will report to the Maintenance Manager.
Essential Responsibilities- Take direction from Maintenance Manager, VP Operations, and/or Facility Director.
- Ensure all work adheres to quality and safety standards (LOTO, PPE, electrical safety, etc.).
- Supervise a small maintenance team and oversee vendors performing specialized work.
- Lead hands‑on repairs to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on conveyors, material handling equipment/forklifts, battery changer, stretch wrappers, print machines, packing equipment, and facility infrastructure.
- Perform general facility upkeep, including painting of floors and walls, lighting repairs, etc.
- Provide progress reports to remain on schedule.
- Maintain spare parts inventory and source parts by obtaining competitive quotes.
- Initiate purchase order requisitions for materials and tools; maintain spending within project budget, and close out order and work tickets.
- Record equipment repairs to track usage and total spent over time.
- Assist with rack assembly/disassembly, forklift and battery maintenance, and office furniture setup as needed.
- Utilize vendor supply catalogs and manuals as needed for maintenance work.
- Suggest facility improvements and repair opportunities to enhance efficiency and safety.
- Participate in company safety programs and ensure compliance with site policies.
- Assist in department and site equipment safety compliance audits.
- Perform outdoor work as needed, including snow removal or minor grounds maintenance.
- Ability to use hand tools and trade tools safely and effectively.
- Understand software systems for managing staff timecards, email, etc.
- Able to open or close the site with keys and security alarm code.
- Experienced in driving different forklift trucks, and can become certified as a trainer to be able to certify others.
- Electrical, plumbing, HVAC, conveyor, forklift repairs and welding experience a plus.
- May be asked to perform maintenance duties not listed.
- Education:
High School diploma or equivalent;
Technical or Trade School training preferred. - Experience:
Minimum 5+ years in facilities, maintenance, or construction supervision within industrial or warehouse environments. - Obtain multiple quotes and manage subcontractors.
- Interpret construction or MEP drawings.
- Strong coordination and communication skills between maintenance staff, other Company departments, and outside contractors.
- Interest in and ability to lead and work with employees, as well as delegate work assignments. As a self‑starter, is able to work on own.
- Able to handle flexible work times. This job will entail some off‑hours work as needed.
- Primarily works inside Hagerstown facility but may include outdoor work.
- Physical fitness to perform maintenance tasks and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Job involves standing, bending, and climbing ladders for extended periods.
- Must have own transportation to and from work.
December 2025 – Spring 2026:
- Interface daily with management as well as building developer’s construction team to align schedules, safety, and work zones.
- Oversee contractor activities and building fit‑out.
- Act as on‑site company representative to coordinate subcontractors’ deliveries and installations (e.g., racking, conveyors, wire guidance, battery charging area, data cabling, security alarms, forklift equipment…
