Washington County Public Schools (WCPS), located in western Maryland, is seeking a strategic, experienced, and collaborative legal professional to serve as our in‑house Chief Legal Counsel. This position plays a critical role in advising the Superintendent, Board of Education, and district leadership on a wide range of legal matters, including education law, employment law, policy development, contracts, and compliance.

As a key member of the executive team, the Chief Legal Counsel will help guide the district in making sound, legally informed decisions that support our mission to educate and empower each student to achieve independence and contribute to a diverse and evolving society.
