REQUIRED - MUST have a current TS/SCI Polygraph clearance to apply for the role. Only those with a current TS/SCI with Poly clearance will be considered.
Duties And Responsibilities- Creates, and maintains Red Hat Linux virtual machines running in a cloud infrastructure (Amazon AWS).
- Evaluates systems for IAVA compliance and applies necessary security updates/patches.
- Performs command line system administration tasks on virtual machines.
- Handles regular system backups and periodically tests backups for functionality.
- Communicates with developers and dev ops team members to provide system administration support.
- Applies patches and upgrades.
- Troubleshoots server issues.
- Administers customer accounts.
- Deploys monitoring tools.
- Deploys applications and tools.
- Assists with escalated customer tickets.
- Installation and cabling of equipment.
Linux command line system administration (CentOS, Red Hat, Amazon Linux, or equivalent).
- Experience applying system updates via yum or equivalent patching repository.
- Experience working within a cloud environment (Amazon AWS, Azure, or equivalent cloud infrastructure with virtual machines).
- Experience or knowledge of Red Seal Network Mapping tool a plus.
- Knowledge of software deployed on systems a plus but not required (Elasticsearch, Docker, Kubernetes, Nifi).
- Syslog/Nx Log
- Nagios or other similar monitoring apps
