Join the Rehabilitation team at Meritus Health as a Rehab Aide and work alongside licensed therapists in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment. This is an excellent opportunity to build hands-on experience, strengthen your grad school application, and learn how an acute-care rehab department really operates.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Assist with direct patient care and treatment activities
- Prepare and maintain therapy treatment areas
- Safely operate and maintain rehab equipment
- Support therapists during patient sessions
- Complete basic documentation and clerical tasks
- Assist with scheduling, inventory, and department support
- Help ensure a safe, organized, and efficient rehab environment
- Current PT, OT or Exercise Science students
- Students pursuing careers in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Exercise Science, or related health fields
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a physically active clinical environment
- Prior patient-care experience is helpful, but not required
- CPR/BLS certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- Hands-on exposure to rehab in a medical center setting
- Work directly with licensed PTs, OTs, and therapy assistants
- Build clinical confidence before grad school
- Flexible scheduling for summer availability
- Strong resume-builder and networking opportunity within healthcare
