Key Responsibilities- Coordinate staffing, workflow, and daily operations of the radiology department under the direction of the Practice Manager
- Activate and follow up on equipment repairs and maintenance needs
- Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures in accordance with state, federal, and professional standards
- Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring safe and efficient use
- Assemble and assess relevant patient data, including clinical history, to support accurate imaging
- Review clinical requisitions and verify imaging orders for completeness and accuracy
- Evaluate radiographic images for positioning, technique, and diagnostic quality
- Identify, assess, and resolve technical or procedural issues to support continuous improvement
- Adapt techniques as needed to enhance departmental performance and stay current with best practices

- Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent required
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Radiologic Technologist required
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- ARRT certification in Radiography required
- State of Maryland Radiologic Technologist license required
- Current BLS (CPR) certification required, in compliance with Meritus Health policy Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Comprehensive knowledge of anatomy, positioning, radiographic techniques, and radiation safety
- Understanding of radiographic physics and medical terminology
- Ability to determine exposure factors and imaging sequences for optimal results
- Skill in evaluating image quality and adjusting techniques as needed
- Ability to exercise discretion and sound judgment during patient care
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous quality improvement
