The High Precision Machines Division of Fives specializes in the design and supply of various types of machines for numerous markets such as Automotive, Aerospace, Defense, Rail, Shipbuilding, Energy, Space, etc. The division has approximately 1,800 employees worldwide working in about 20 locations in Asia, Europe, and North America. Location flexibility: candidates do not need to be based at our Hagerstown, Maryland headquarters.

- Set up, integrate, and thoroughly test equipment and systems at client locations to ensure optimal functionality and reliability.
- Demonstrate equipment performance and capabilities to customers, confirming proper operation and satisfaction with system standards.
- Provide rapid support for critical equipment failures to minimize downtime.
- Perform emergency repairs by diagnosing technical issues and implementing effective and timely solutions.
- Educate and assist clients on proper equipment operation, maximizing efficiency and user confidence.
- Communicate clearly and proactively with customers and internal teams to provide timely service updates and maintain alignment.
- Serve as the primary technical liaison, managing customer interactions and ensuring prompt and accurate resolution of issues.
- Submit detailed service reports, including parts used, time spent, and corrective actions taken.

We are seeking someone who has a minimum of a high school diploma or GED, 2 years of field service experience, and knowledge of precision cylindrical grinding. Centerless and double‑disc grinding knowledge is a plus. An understanding of CNC machines with servo drives & motors, and programmable logic controllers such as Allen Bradley, Fanuc, Siemens, etc. is required. Candidates should be self‑starter, flexible, eager to travel 75% to engage with customers, and be committed to an innovative work environment.
