As an Electrical Engineer I, you will be involved in the initial phases of research, design, and development of electrical/electronic systems for aerospace and defense applications. You will assist in the design of integrated electrical/electronic systems, contributing to various stages of the product lifecycle under the guidance of senior engineers.

The Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area provides affordable, turn-key command/control, communications, integrated ISR, force protection and security solutions worldwide. The MST team has a long legacy of supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, commercial and international customers with years of experience in platform operations, engineering and full lifecycle management across domains - air, land, sea, space and cyber.

Responsibilities:
* Assist in the design and development of electrical/electronic systems.

* In some applications, support development of circuit card assemblies.

* Learn implementation of electrical wiring design practices.

* Support the testing and validation of electrical/electronic systems and components.

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design specifications are met.

* Document technical designs, test procedures, and results.

* Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback.

* Perform basic troubleshooting and debugging of electrical/electronic circuits and systems. Qualifications You Must Have:
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.

* 0-2+ years of experience in electrical engineering or related field.

* Basic understanding of electrical/electronic design and testing principles.

* Conceptual knowledge of engineering principles and practices.

* Basic understanding of Computer Aided Engineering tools.

* Familiarity with working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams. Qualifications We Prefer:
* Internship or project experience in electrical engineering.

* Familiarity with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software for electrical applications.

* Exposure to simulations through functional and logical models and system analysis.

* Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry.

* Knowledge of electrical component selection and manufacturing.

* Understanding of circuit modeling, simulation, and analysis.

Essential Functions:

* Ability to work on a computer for extended periods.

* Ability to travel as required.

* Ability to work in an office or hybrid environment.

* Precision in designing, testing and troubleshooting electrical/electronic systems and components.

* Ability to analyze complex electrical/electronic systems and evaluate performance data to identify problems and improve designs.

* Applying systematic and logical problem-solving techniques to diagnose and resolve electrical/electronic issues.

* Clearly convey technical information, design specifications, and project updates to team members, stakeholders, and management.

* Ability to understand technical documents, electrical/electronic schematics, and electronic instrument measurements.

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $64,853.15 - $89,173.08. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
