Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an Avionics Technician to work onsite in Hagerstown, MD. The Avionics Technician will perform complex troubleshooting, repair, installation, and scheduled maintenance on aircraft avionics systems while supporting engineering teams and FAA-regulated programs.
Responsibilities- Analyze blueprints, drawings, work orders, and sketches to troubleshoot, repair, and install avionics systems
- Detect and correct errors through appropriate engineering or departmental channels
- Train and mentor junior technicians in proper work techniques
- Schedule work through the shop to maintain on-time aircraft delivery
- Inspect mechanical components prior to installation to prevent damage
- Estimate labor hours and materials for scheduled work
- Install, inspect, test, maintain, and repair aircraft avionics systems
- Operate required ground support equipment
- 5+ years of avionics experience
- Demonstrated ability to perform all required avionics maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair tasks
- Extensive knowledge of aircraft mechanical system functions and interactions
- Thorough working knowledge of FAA regulations, IPM, and ATA codes
- Ability to travel CONUS and OCONUS, including extended durations as required
- Must have an active Top Secret security clearance
- Salary Range: $62,000 - $95,000 depending on experience
