Duties (Responsibilities)
The student worker must be able to multitask and perform general office duties such as copying, filing, processing mailings, typing, conducting occasional research, working with confidential materials, and completing other tasks as assigned. From time to time, the student may also be asked to assist with HCC events and fundraisers such as the Flower and Garden Show, Earth Day, the Tribute, Commencement, and other special events.
The student worker is expected to be pleasant, professional, and conversational with all donors and visitors who come to our office or whom we work with at events.
Special Skills Needed (Qualifications)- Candidates must demonstrate the ability to handle confidential information appropriately and maintain strict confidentiality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access is required.
- The student must be able to alphabetize accurately, follow instructions carefully, type effectively, and operate a copier and scanner.
- Strong interpersonal skills are essential, as the role involves working in a busy and sometimes fast paced office environment.
- Must be a current HCC student for the Spring 2026 semester.
- Must be enrolled in at least 6 credits.
- Unless first‑semester student, must have attained a 2.0 semester GPA during the last semester attended.
