Wine Bar & Tasting Room Sales Associate
This position is responsible for working at the tasting room of William Heritage Winery. The main objectives of this position are as follows.
- Offer the best possible customer service
- Facilitate / promote wine sales & wine club sign ups
- Help maintain a clean / orderly tasting room (execute daily checklist items)
- Complete knowledge of William Heritage wines, story, production specifics and vineyards
- Pouring samples of wine
- Encouraging customers to buy William Heritage wines & join the wine club
- Educating guests about the William Heritage story, our wines & vineyards
- Accurate use of the registers (computer based)
- Opening & closing procedures
- Restocking of wine & merchandise in the Tasting Room
- Maintaining the aesthetics of the Tasting Room
- Participate in William Heritage special wine events
- Perform other work in Tasting Room, as needed (Ex: Inventory, Helping to Clean Bar, etc.)
- Sufficient first-hand knowledge of wine and wine-related topics
- Ability to lift 50lbs. (one case of wine)
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and a strong desire to offer great customer service
We are looking for individuals who can commit to working various Saturdays & Sundays. Potential for more hours is possible in future and also week day shifts.
- Saturdays - hours vary from 11:30-6pm or 4-9:30pm (we can be flexible on start time)
- Sunday 11:30 - 6:30pm (we can be flexible on start time)
- Some week night shifts 5-9:30pm (Monday thru Friday)
The tasting room sales associate position combines all the responsibilities of maintaining a clean and orderly retail space and facilitating wine tasting and wine education of our customers. The job requires a considerable amount of multi- tasking. In addition, those designated as wine bar staff should demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills that include but are not limited to – positivity, projecting of the voice, extremely friendly, entertaining and demonstrating a strong commitment to educating guests about William Heritage wines and vineyards.
CompensationBase pay is $10/hour. Staff members also receive tips.

During busier months, when base pay ($10/hour) is combined with tips, staff members can make as much as $16/hour.

Pay: $10.00 - $13.00 per hour
Expected hours: 5 – 24 per week
