- Provide a safe environment for patients on one-to-one supervision for suicide precautions, behavioral restraints, line of sight, or patient safety.
- Assist in ensuring the safety of patients under the direction of the registered nurse.
- Work in situations with isolation precautions.
- Provide frequent checks on patients with a patient watch order.
- Guide patients to prevent falls or wandering.
- Record and document patient behavior.
- Travel with patients as needed.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
- Adhere to HMH organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Ability to remain mobile and stand for periods of time.
- Work in isolation precautions environments.
- Previous work experience in a hospital setting.
- Experience as a patient care technician, nursing assistant, medical assistant, EMT, nurse aide, or current nursing/psychology student.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) prior to performing patient observation.

Compensation and BenefitsHourly minimum rate: $17.12
. Full‑time hours include a comprehensive benefits package—health, dental, vision, paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and retirement benefits.
