Head Chef – Gastro Pub, Hackney (E9)
Salary circa £55,000
Join a respected neighbourhood gastro pub in East London.
The kitchen focuses on seasonal British food, cooked with care and consistency.
You lead the kitchen. You set the standard, You shape the culture.
The role- Lead and develop a small kitchen team
- Deliver consistent quality across lunch and dinner
- Create seasonal menus and daily specials
- Manage food costs, GP, ordering, and stock
- Own hygiene, compliance, and kitchen organisation
- Work closely with the front of house team
- Build a positive, calm kitchen culture
- Salary circa £55,000 plus bonus
- 45–48 hour week
- Two days off
- Long‑term stability
- Real ownership of the kitchen
- A strong Senior Sous Chef ready to step up or a Head Chef
- Solid gastro pub background
- Confidence running service
- Good understanding of seasonality and classic techniques
- Pride in standards and consistency
- Calm leadership style
