Job Summary:

• Emergency Department (ED) RNs must be prepared to care for patients during critical and urgent situations.
• ED RNs provide specialized and innovative emergency care services.
• ED RNs handle a wide range of emergency situations for patients of all ages.
• Emergency Department nurses are trained to manage various trauma cases.
• Trauma situations often require quick thinking and decisive action.
• Ideal ED RNs can rapidly and accurately assess incoming patients.
• ED RNs evaluate both physical and mental health conditions.
• ED RNs prioritize patient injuries and medical needs effectively.

Comments:

• Busy unit environment.
• Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:6.
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM.
• Every other weekend is required.
• 3 out of 6 holidays are required.
• NOR:
  No on-call required.
• Float requirements are within the facility.
• Floating is limited to like units.
