Responsibilities- Deliver nursing practices based on the latest evidence‑based research, policies, and standards of care to provide safe and excellent patient care.
- Communicate with patients, nursing colleagues, and other health‑care team members regarding patient status, care rendered and treatment plans.
- Administer medication utilizing bar‑scanning and documentation technologies to ensure the safest delivery of medications.
- Document patient assessments, plan of care, interventions, and evaluations electronically at the point of care.
- Provide patient‑ and family‑centered education to optimize health, wellness, and disease management.
- Participate in multidisciplinary discharge planning to ensure safe transition and continuity of care.
- NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License required.
- BSN in progress or willing to obtain within three (3) years of hire.
- Minimum six (6) months of relevant nursing experience or active participation in Hackensack Meridian Health’s Nurse Residency Program.
- Ability to learn quickly, adapt to changing patient needs, and demonstrate strong accountability, teamwork, ongoing education, and commitment to delivering high‑quality care.
- BLS/CPR certification by the American Heart Association required within 60 days of hire.
