Responsibilities
  • Deliver nursing practices based on the latest evidence‑based research, policies, and standards of care to provide safe and excellent patient care.
  • Communicate with patients, nursing colleagues, and other health‑care team members regarding patient status, care rendered and treatment plans.
  • Administer medication utilizing bar‑scanning and documentation technologies to ensure the safest delivery of medications.
  • Document patient assessments, plan of care, interventions, and evaluations electronically at the point of care.
  • Provide patient‑ and family‑centered education to optimize health, wellness, and disease management.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary discharge planning to ensure safe transition and continuity of care.
Qualifications
  • NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License required.
  • BSN in progress or willing to obtain within three (3) years of hire.
  • Minimum six (6) months of relevant nursing experience or active participation in Hackensack Meridian Health’s Nurse Residency Program.
  • Ability to learn quickly, adapt to changing patient needs, and demonstrate strong accountability, teamwork, ongoing education, and commitment to delivering high‑quality care.
  • BLS/CPR certification by the American Heart Association required within 60 days of hire.

HMH is committed to pay equity and transparency. The posted rate is a good faith estimate of the minimum base pay for this role. Final compensation will be determined using market data, experience, education, certifications, skills, geographical location, internal equity, and budgetary factors.
