Position: REGISTERED NURSE - CRITICAL CARE FLOAT POOL - F/T NIGHTS

Registered Nurse – Critical Care Float Pool – Full‑Time Nights

Hackensack University Medical Center – Hackensack, New Jersey

Overview

Join Hackensack Meridian Health’s nursing team to provide safe, evidence‑based care in a collaborative, compassionate environment. The role supports critical care units on a float basis during night shifts.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver nursing practices based on up‑to‑date evidence, policies, and standards to ensure safe, individualized patient care.
  • Communicate continuously with patients, families, and the health‑care team regarding status, care rendered, and treatment plans.
  • Administer medications using bar‑scanning and documentation technologies to maximize safety.
  • Document assessments, plans of care, interventions, and evaluations point‑of‑care in the electronic health record.
  • Provide patient and family education to promote health, wellness, and disease management.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary discharges to ensure safe transitions and continuity of care.
Qualifications
  • Current NJ State Registered Nurse license.
  • BSN in progress or willingness to obtain within three years of hire.
  • Minimum six months of relevant nursing experience or participation in Hackensack Meridian Health’s Nurse Residency Program.
  • Strong accountability, teamwork focus, commitment to ongoing education, and patient‑centered care.
  • BLS/CPR certification by the American Heart Association within 60 days of hire.
Compensation

Minimum rate of $47.39 hourly. Pay may vary based on experience, education, market data, and internal equity.
