The Environmental Service Aide I performs a variety of cleaning tasks in order to maintain a clean environment for patients, clients and visitors.

• Maintains all floors surfaces.
• Performs repetitive cleaning operations throughout the work day under specific instructions with little need for individual judgment in working out job problems.
• Works with frequent contact with water and cleaning solutions.
• Moves furniture as required.
• Replaces shower curtains as needed.
• Collects soiled linen and disposes of same linen in laundry chute.
• Adheres to the standards identified in the Medical Center's Organizational Competencies.

• Strong sense of accountability for improving the lives of patients and their caregivers.
• Exceptional focus on teamwork.
• Ability and passion to deliver the highest quality of care based on a strong sense of patient focus.

• Previous Environmental Service or Housekeeping experience.
• High School diploma, GED, or GED equivalent programs.

Starting at $18.16 hourly. HMH is committed to pay equity and transparency for our team members. The posted rate of pay is a reasonable good‑faith estimate of the minimum base pay for this role at the time of posting in accordance with the New Jersey Pay Transparency Act and does not reflect the full value of our market‑competitive total rewards package.

Some jobs may also be eligible for performance‑based incentives, bonuses, or commissions not reflected in the starting rate. Certain positions may also be eligible for shift differentials for work performed on evening, night, or weekend shifts.
