Family Support Counselor

In this role, the Family Counselor assists families in crisis during a relative’s psychiatric screening or admission to the hospital and provides support throughout the admission process. The position serves as a family advocate, attends visiting hours, refers families to community services, and collaborates cooperatively with hospital staff and PESP staff.

• Collaborate cooperatively with hospital staff and PESP staff

• BSW in Social Work, BA/BS in Psychology, or a related field, or a Registered Nursing Degree
• Two years of direct experience in mental health or human services
• Valid New Jersey driver’s license
