Documentation Specialist

Star Hill Financial is a fast-growing, asset- and independent financial services company that is focused on equipment and franchise finance. We are looking for someone who thrives in a deal environment and takes pride in getting transactions across the finish line.

This role is ideal for a paralegal, mortgage closer, or bank documentation specialist who wants to move into a dynamic private credit platform and play a key role in transaction execution.

• Prepare and manage lease and loan documentation from approval through funding.
• Interpret credit approvals and ensure documents align with structure and terms.
• Handle documentation requests from customers, vendors, and funding partners.
• Coordinate closings and satisfy funding conditions.
• File UCCs, conduct lien searches, and manage secured transaction requirements.
• Serve as the operational bridge between Sales, Credit, Accounting, and external partners.

• Bachelor’s degree or comparable business experience in loan documentation, paralegal work, mortgage lending, or commercial lending.
• Ability to be on site in our Hackensack office for a minimum of three days per week.
• Strong understanding of secured transactions and documentation detail.
• Basic understanding of leasing, financing, and loan principles.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and T-Value.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple deals at once.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
• Team Player that demonstrates a positive attitude and high ethical standards; able to work well in a team environment.
• Knowledge of Franchise and equipment Finance documents is a plus, but not necessary.
