Overview

The Comprehensive Headache Center in the Department of Neurology at Hackensack University Medical Center (HUMC) is recruiting a full-time neurologist who has completed an accredited Headache Medicine fellowship and is BE/BC by ABPN & UCNS. Faculty rank at Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine will be commensurate with experience.

• Clinical care within the Headache Center, including evaluation and treatment of patients with headache and facial pain syndromes.
• Teaching of medical students, residents, and graduate students.
• Conduct sponsored and investigator-initiated research (supported by 3 research coordinators).
• Collaborate with an interprofessional team that includes 2 fellowship-trained headache specialists, a dedicated headache APN, neuro-psychologists, and access to infusion, rehabilitation, and nutrition services as available.

• Board eligible/certified by ABPN and UCNS in Headache Medicine.
• Interest in teaching and research; commitment to individualized, disparities-sensitive patient care.
• Academic appointment at Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine commensurate with experience.

• HUMC has a nationally recognized Neurology & Neurosurgery program in New Jersey (U.S. News & World Report ).
• Large multidisciplinary team with specialties including Epilepsy, MS, Stroke, Neurosurgery, Neuro-Oncology, Movement Disorders, Neuro-Ophthalmology, Neurogenetics, Neurocritical Care, TBI/Concussion, and ALS.
• Active Clinical Research Unit with multiple sponsored and investigator-initiated projects in MS, Stroke, Spinal Cord Injury, Hereditary Neuropathy, ALS, Dementia, and Movement Disorders.

• HMH is committed to pay equity and transparency. The minimum base salary for this position is $258,056, with further compensation aligned to a market-competitive total rewards package.
