Waterfront: Skilled Nursing Facility - Now Hiring a Front Desk Receptionist!
Hours: 8:30AM - 5:00PM, Monday - Friday
Must be Covid Vaccinated with Booster
Rate: $16 per hour.
Offering Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k Plan
Job Summary: The purpose of this position is to facilitate the efficient transfer of phone calls, personal inquiries, information, and mail to the appropriate individuals in the facility in a timely and professional manner. Besides monitoring the phone system, mail, Fed Ex, and UPS, there are additional clerical responsibilities which are done on a regular and as-needed basis to maintain the continuous operation of the facility.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A high school diploma or B.A. in Communications is preferred.
- Computer skills are preferred.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English in an understandable manner.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be physically and mentally capable of performing routine job duties.
- Good managerial, organizational, and planning skills.
- Be personable with residents, families, and staff in a professional and cooperative manner.
- Must have compassion, tolerance, and understanding for the elderly.
MAIN DUTIES:
- Support the facility's philosophy of care and strive to achieve its goals and objectives.
- Assist with the schedules of all part-time receptionists to ensure uninterrupted service at all times.
- Review the census each morning to ensure it is complete, obtain Administrator’s approval, and fax/scan as needed.
- Operate the reception area efficiently:
- Maintain a continuous presence at the desk.
- Greet residents, family, and visitors in a friendly manner.
- Keep the desk and lobby area tidy.
- Operate the phone system:
- Answer calls professionally and courteously.
- Inquire about the caller and purpose of the call.
- Transfer calls to appropriate departments or personnel.
- Take messages for office/managerial staff only, except in emergencies.
- Complete paperwork timely and neatly, including:
- Preparing face sheets for new admissions using the EMR system as requested.
- Completing tracking logs and Medicare notices.
- Handling receipts for payments/checks.
- Assisting with applications and employee packets.
- Monitor visitors and ensure sign-in procedures are followed.
- Distribute mail to departments/individuals.
- Coordinate deliveries and notify staff of deliveries.
- Maintain confidentiality of resident information and respect personal and property rights.
- Follow safety, fire, disaster, infection control, and evacuation policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Administrator or Business Office Manager.
