Delivery Driver

Job Summary

Perform effective, safe and efficient driving duties. Deliver packages to customers on scheduled route while meeting service and performance objectives.

This position is 8AM-5PM, Monday through Friday.

Local deliveries only

No CDL required

Must pass an MVR background check and drug screen.

Essential Functions

* Transact all business in accordance to Patterson Companies' business code of conduct and business ethics

* Drive assigned vehicle and deliver/pick up shipments

* Point of contact for customer service and help resolve customer complaints

* Load and unload assigned vehicle. Ensure all loads are properly secure for transport.

* Operate all warehouse equipment/machinery

* Achieve assigned performance metrics and KPIs

* Help maintain a secure, organized, clean, and safe warehouse and vehicle

* Handle all hazardous materials, pesticides, and prescription drugs according to the Company's processes/procedures and applicable laws and regulations

* Assure routine maintenance is performed on assigned vehicle per schedule and vehicle is always in a good and safe condition

* Follow all local, state and federal motor carrier laws

* Submit all required daily, weekly and monthly compliance reports

* Assist fulfillment center in daily operations when not delivering packages

Additional functions

In addition to the essential functions listed below, the incumbent may perform the following additional functions.

* Perform all work in accordance with Company Safety guidelines and procedures including all required Safety and Compliance Training and regulatory licensing

* Maintain acceptable driving record and current driver's license

* Perform other duties as assigned by management

Job Qualifications

Required Qualifications

* Non-CDL, Non-Hazmat, driving vehicles or combination vehicles up to 26k GVWR

* High school diploma or GED preferred

* Must have a valid driver's license

* Obtain a satisfactory MVR review

* Ability to drive assigned vehicle

* Knowledge of delivery area and ability to read maps

* Able to work as an effective team member

* Basic problem solving/troubleshooting skills

* Effective time management skills

Preferred Qualifications

* One-year experience as a delivery driver preferred

Working Conditions

Physical Demands

Lift and carry up to 55 pounds, team lift 56 to 100 pounds: continuous, moderate or occasional heavy physical activity

* · Moving 50% of the time

* · Stationary position 50% of the time

* · Move loads on pallet jack (w/pallets/totes/barrels) weighing up to 2,500 lbs

* · Load and unload vehicle

May require overnight delivery runs
