We transport students to recreational and educational destinations, medical centers, and other community-related sites. The driver is responsible for operating center buses, maintaining vehicles, and ensuring student safety and behavior standards are met. This is a 24/7 operation; therefore, the driver must be available to work any shift and day of the week.
Responsibilities- Transport students to various cities by bus for recreational and educational purposes.
- Transport students and staff to medical centers.
- Transport equipment and commodities to the center.
- Transport students for other various reasons.
- Transport staff to and from commercial carriers.
- Transport students to community relations work projects.
- Operate center bus as required.
- Clean vehicles and report mechanical conditions.
- Transport vehicles to maintenance centers.
Ensure acceptable student behavior is demonstrated. - Work towards meeting performance standard goals.
- Follow CDSS plan and Code of Conduct system daily.
- Adhere to required property control policies and procedures.
- Comply with all DOL guidelines, OFCCP regulation, Quality Assurance Plan, Bizzell’s policies and procedures, Job Corps notices, and center policies.
- Maintain good housekeeping in all areas and comply with safety practices.
- Demonstrate and abide by the Bizzell Group's core values and operating principles.
- Model, mentor, and monitor appropriate Career Success Standards.
- Help students become more employable through continuous reinforcement.
- Participate in PRH-mandated staff training (mandatory, failure may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Computer literacy with basic computer functions, email, internet, and basic programs such as Adobe Acrobat.
- High level of time management skills; punctual with routes.
- Demonstrate safe driving habits and practices; follow all state and national safety regulations and standards.
- Pass DOT medical exam.
- Minimum of one year of driving multiple passengers experience.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Effective communication: present information clearly and concisely, confirm correct interpretation, high standard of written and verbal skills, professional non‑verbal body language, active listening.
- Organization of work: action‑oriented, multitask with decision‑making, flexibility, problem‑solving, time management, task allocation, priority assignment, attention to detail, continuous improvement of services.
- Professionalism: professional interpersonal skills, adhere to Healthy Workplace Environment policy, team player, build professional relationships.
