We are looking for someone who will treat the jewellery category like their own business.

Role Overview

As Category Lead – Jewellery, you will own the commercial performance of the category. This is not just a merchandising role. It is a business role.
You will be responsible for deciding:
What we stock
How much we stock
What to push
What to phase out
How pricing and display impact sales
You will work closely with founders, retail teams, and marketing to ensure the category grows in both revenue and profitability.

Key Responsibilities
Category Strategy & Planning
Plan assortment mix across price bands and collections
Identify gaps in product range
Balance newness with core bestsellers
Inventory & Commercial Ownership
Monitor sell-through, stock ageing, and inventory turns
Reduce dead stock and improve movement
Take decisions on replenishment, discounting, and liquidation
Maintain healthy stock levels without over-blocking capital
Sales & Performance Analysis
Track SKU-level performance weekly
Identify bestsellers and slow movers
Suggest actions to improve velocity and margins
Display & Sell-Through Execution
Work with store team to improve in-store merchandising
Recommend display changes based on performance data
Ensure product storytelling supports sales
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Coordinate with design and sourcing for new launches
Align with marketing on priority pushes
Provide structured weekly insights to founders

Who We Are Looking For
You should:
Have 3 to 7 years of experience in jewellery or fashion merchandising
Understand retail math: sell-through %, inventory turns, margins
Be comfortable making decisions, not just reporting data
Have strong commercial instinct along with aesthetic judgment
Take ownership and accountability for results
This role is for someone who wants to grow a category, not just manage stock.
