Manager, Research​/Development

Position Summary
The Manager – Entomology will lead insect rearing programs, manage bioefficacy trials, support new product development, and ensure scientific excellence in entomological research for biological crop protection solutions. The role involves managing laboratory workflows, conducting high-quality screenings, coordinating with universities and international collaborators, and ensuring GLP compliance.

Qualification
Ph.D. in Entomolog y (mandatory)

Key Responsibilities
1. Insect Rearing & Mass Multiplication
Manage  mass multiplication of key insect pests  using natural and artificial diets.
Ensure  round-the-year  availability of insect cultures for R&D requirements.
Maintain culture purity, health, and performance parameters.
2. Product Screening & Bioefficacy Trials
Conduct  in-house screening  of all biological products against target insect pests.
Execute trials in  laboratory, greenhouse, and field environments .
Design experiments aligned with entomological standards and regulatory needs.
3. Product Registration & Label Claim Support
Lead  bioefficacy trials required for new product registrations .
Coordinate with  state agricultural universities  and  international universities  for multi-location studies.
Ensure timely planning, execution, and data submission for regulatory approvals.
4. Research Protocols, Reporting & Documentation
Prepare  technical reports ,  trial summaries , and  study protocols  for internal and external stakeholders.
Support international clients with customized trial protocols and reports.
Ensure accurate documentation as per GLP and internal SOPs.
5. TIC Software Implementation & Data Management
Oversee  TIC software implementation  for research data management.
Maintain accurate electronic records, raw data, and research logs.
6. Data Analysis & Interpretation
Perform statistical analysis of experimental data.
Interpret research outcomes and provide science-based recommendations for product improvement and development.
7. GLP & Laboratory Compliance
Ensure strict adherence to  Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) .
Maintain high-quality data and ensure audit readiness.
8. Laboratory & Team Management
Manage lab workflow, resource allocation, and day-to-day operations.
Supervise, mentor, and train junior staff and technicians.
Plan consumable requirements, equipment calibration, and maintenance schedules.

Experience
Strong experience in  insect rearing, mass multiplication, bioefficacy trials , and R&D work in Agri-Biologicals or related areas.
Hands-on experience in  laboratory, greenhouse, and field-based entomological research .
