Fabric Manager

Role & responsibilities
Responsible for Fabric Sourcing (Knits) PAN India
Identify and evaluate potential fabric suppliers locally. Negotiate and purchase fabrics based on the company's needs.
Build and maintain strong relationships with fabric manufacturers and suppliers. Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues related to fabric quality, lead times, or pricing.
Work closely with the Quality Control (QC) team to ensure that fabrics meet the required standards for texture, durability, colorfastness, and any other specifications.
Stay up-to-date with fabric trends, innovations, and new suppliers. Identify new fabric sources or alternative materials that can improve cost efficiency or product quality.
Manage fabric sourcing costs and ensure that budgets are adhered to. Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and other contract terms with fabric suppliers.
Ensure that fabrics sourced comply with environmental, ethical, and legal standards. Work on sourcing sustainable fabrics or eco-friendly materials.
Coordinate with the production team to ensure that fabric stock levels meet production requirements without overstocking.
Oversee the fabric sample process, ensuring that new fabric samples meet specifications and are approved for production.
Maintain accurate records of fabric orders, delivery schedules, and contracts. Provide reports on sourcing activities, fabric usage, and cost analysis.

Preferred candidate profile
15- 20 years of experience in textile industry with expertise in fabric sourcing(Knits), supply chain management, and vendor relations.
Bachelor's degree in Textile (B.Tech/B.E.)
Strong understanding of technical skills such as textile knowledge, product development collaboration, cost management & budgeting.
