About the Role
We're looking for a Product Consultant who can become the go-to expert on Sumtracker and help merchants get the most out of our platform. This is a consultative, customer-facing role where you'll assess each merchant's inventory challenges, recommend the right workflows, and guide them from first interaction to long-term success.
You'll own the full customer journey — from understanding a merchant's needs during their trial, to configuring the product for their use case, to ensuring they continue to see value as they grow. You'll also be the voice of the customer internally, working with the product team to shape what we build next.

Responsibilities
This is a high-ownership individual contributor role.
Consult with prospective customers: Understand their inventory challenges, assess fit, conduct personalised product walkthroughs, and recommend solutions that convert trial users into paying customers.
Design and deliver onboarding: Create tailored onboarding plans for new customers, configuring Sumtracker to match their specific workflows across Shopify, Amazon, and other channels.
Troubleshoot and advise: Serve as the product expert customers turn to — resolving questions, diagnosing issues, and recommending best practices via chat, email, and calls.
Identify product opportunities: Translate customer pain points, recurring questions, and feature requests into structured feedback for the product team to act on.
Champion product improvements: Organise and prioritise bugs, enhancement proposals, and feature requests, and work with the product team to get them shipped.
Drive ongoing customer success: Proactively check in with customers, spot adoption gaps, and recommend ways to deepen their use of the platform.
Qualifications
Proven Experience:
3+ years of experience at a SaaS company in a customer-facing or product-adjacent role.
Excellent Communication: Exceptional oral and written communication skills with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts and tailor advice to different audiences.
Consultative Mindset: Ability to diagnose customer needs, think in terms of solutions, and guide customers toward the right outcomes — not just answer questions.
Ownership-Driven: Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage multiple customer engagements effectively.
Tech Savvy: Comfortable learning and navigating software products quickly. Familiarity with e-commerce platforms like Shopify or Amazon is a plus.
