Job Title: Technical Sales Manager (TSM)

Summary

This position promotes sales of products and services of Eirich Machines. This role will collaborate with Customer Support and Technology Teams. TSM works with Sales Director to qualify customer requirements and opportunities. The role focuses on identifying and developing opportunities within the building materials / concrete industries, supporting customers with equipment solutions for mixing, material preparation, and process optimization.

Essential Responsibilities / Duties
  • Become an Eirich technical sales expert with increasing application, process, and sales knowledge.
  • Become a Specialist in particular applications and processes in focused markets.
  • Increase Sales by growing existing Customer Base and by proactively developing new accounts.
  • Provide Forecasting and Strategic Planning input for product lines, applications, and assigned markets as required.
  • Review, on a weekly, basis the Sales forecasting, Opportunities, and applications with Product Specialist or Sales Director for assigned markets.
  • TSM will be responsible to maintain Opportunities, Contacts, and Accounts in CRM.
  • Identify gaps each month and develop/execute strategy to meet or exceed goals.
  • Respond to prospects and existing customers promptly and qualify inquiries effectively and efficiently involving Sales Director or Product Specialist for qualification, guidance, and assistance.
  • Interact with customers to determine and develop project requirements, equipment specifications, and any test requirements. TSM or approved representative will participate with onsite testing.
  • Provide process requirements, specifications, and test results with Request for Quotation to Inside Sales for preparation of proposal.
  • Required to utilize CRM for daily recording of activities, Opportunity status, forecasting, project description, and other required fields for reporting purposes.
  • Plan travel to visit customer’s facilities to observe equipment operation, learn about applications, further evaluate opportunities, build relationships with existing customers, prospect for new customers, and/or conduct sales presentations to Key Accounts or Markets.
  • Assist in the planning, booth assembly/disassembly, and participation in trade shows as requested. Representing Eirich Machines in a professional manner.
  • Collaborate with Customer Service Team to maximize potential offerings to customers for Parts & Services as well as new equipment opportunities.
  • TSM must secure and review customers purchase orders for accuracy of all details including equipment specifications, purchase price, terms & conditions, agreed shipment expectations, and any agreed project details.
  • Support management directives.
  • Travel typically 50 % +/-; overnight travel as required.
Aptitudes & Abilities
  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to interpret drawings / flow diagrams / P&IDs.
  • Capable of managing multiple projects.
  • Attention to details and documentation.
  • Ability to identify opportunities, prospect, and networking new markets.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ambitious, motivated, and persistent.

Education / Training
  • BS in Engineering from accredited school preferred.
Experience
  • Five (5) years’ experience as a Sales Engineer for a capital equipment company and/or an OEM/Integrator serving above industries.
  • Demonstrated history of capital equipment sales in above industries resulting in sales growth.
Skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs and CRM Database.
  • Conscientious and proficient in good customer relationship skills.
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Confidence in making sales presentation.
  • Solution-driven with a “Can do Attitude.”
  • Stays abreast of trends and industry developments (including competition).
  • Demonstrated influencing and listening skills.
