Overview
Position:
Member assistant – cart attendant (Sam’s Club). You help shape our members’ shopping experience by providing a positive first and last impression, assisting with purchases, keeping the parking area and carts ready, and helping members load their vehicles.
The role is active, requires being on your feet, and involves working in various weather conditions. You will engage with members to ensure a well-kept environment and a great member experience.
Base pay range
$17.00/hr - $24.00/hr
What you’ll doEnsures club pick up orders are filled by contacting members to notify when pickup time is delayed; informs members when products are unavailable; offers alternative product options; ensures items are selected and packaged according to company policies; ensures items are dispensed when members arrive for pickup; resolves member issues and concerns; promotes the company’s products and services.
Maintains safety of facility according to company policies by conducting safety sweeps; follows procedures for handling merchandise; reports unsafe situations to facility management.
Provides member service by acknowledging the member and identifying needs; assists with purchasing decisions; processes member purchases; assists with payments according to policies for different membership and payment types; uses cash registers to assist with transactions; locates and organizes merchandise; zones designated areas; resolves member issues; maintains availability of carts/flatbeds; assists with transporting items; uses cart retrieval equipment per policy; maintains parking lot cleanliness.
Complies with policies, procedures, and standards of ethics by applying related action plans; following the Open Door Policy; and integrating these into business processes.
Completes work assignments by using policies, data, and resources; collaborates with managers, co-workers, customers, and partners; identifies priorities and deadlines; communicates progress; seeks improvements and adapts to change and feedback.
