Operator II - Night -hours shift

Position Summary

Advanced operator that can be assigned to any work center in the facility and successfully operate the equipment. Train all new hires or new contractors.

• Train new employees and/or temporary employees, and train existing employees on new protocols and procedures.
• Perform the duties of the operator positions, including visually monitoring the molding process to ensure proper procedure, removing molded parts from injection molding machines, and performing gross defect inspections on parts and packaging to ensure they meet specifications.
• Lift and carry totes and boxes, pack finished products in boxes according to weight or count, and affix the correct shipping label to the box.
• Verify line clearances and applicable documentation at the assigned machine.
• Change materials at the machine (bags, daily supplies, etc.) and stock materials.
• Work in concert with the Shift Supervisor to ensure safe and efficient production.
• Read, comprehend, and maintain the operating policies and procedures of the company as well as the requirements specified by FDA, OSHA, and other governmental agencies.
• Read and comprehend specifications, blueprints, instructions, and written procedures.
• Support all company safety and quality programs and initiatives.
• Other responsibilities may be assigned from time to time as needed, based on the evolution of the role.

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a manufacturing and/or training role in a similar industry/environment.
• Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices and all current Work Instructions and Product Specifications.
• Ability to lift bags equal to or under 5 pounds.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to read and write English and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Experience in the use of scale, tape gun, and/or machine, hand truck, digital caliper, digital micrometer, and basic measurement devices.
• Proficient with the use of computer, including SAP, Microsoft Outlook, and Excel.

Hourly pay range: $17.12–$30.82. Non-discriminatory factors used to determine the actual offered rate include qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data, and internal equity.
