Hourly Pay Range
$19.89 - $28.84 – The hourly pay rate is determined by expertise, experience, and other factors.
PositionMedical Assistant/Patient Support Assistant – Immediate Care (Full Time, Gurnee, IL)
HoursRotating hours between 9 am‑7 pm; travel to other sites as needed.
What you will do- Answer phones
- Schedule appointments
- Collect co‑payments
- Complete patient registration
- Provide administrative support to the physician practice
- Check in and check out patients
- Verify insurances
- Greet patients and escort them to the exam room
- Document vital signs, allergies, medications and reason for office visit
- Provide front office support as needed
- Perform basic vitals like BP, height and weight
- Phlebotomy and injections required
- High school diploma or equivalent work experience required; graduation from an accredited medical assisting program preferred.
- CPR certification through the American Heart Association required;
Medical Assistant certification (AMT or AAMA) preferred. - One year of work experience required; previous experience in a medical office (or related field) preferred; on‑the‑job training provided for those without prior medical assistant training or experience.
