Addison Group is partnering with a growing manufacturing organization to hire a Logistics Specialist for a contract opportunity. This newly created role will support the integration of a new brand and provide day-to-day inventory and logistics support. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
Job Description:The Logistics Specialist will support inventory operations by ensuring accurate transaction processing, inventory tracking, and warehouse replenishment across manufacturing and off-site warehouse locations. This role plays a critical part in maintaining data integrity, resolving discrepancies, and supporting production through system and administrative functions.
Key Responsibilities:- Process inventory transactions, including receipts, transfers, and shipments within the ERP and WMS systems
- Monitor and manage a high-volume shared inbox, responding to shipment and inventory inquiries
- Enter shipment and tracking details into internal systems and communicate updates to stakeholders
- Assist with reconciliation of inventory discrepancies and help determine root causes
- Review and maintain open purchase orders and supply chain transfer records
- Support production teams with accurate inventory updates, documentation, and reporting
- Help coordinate inbound and outbound shipments
- Assist with physical inventory counts and audits as needed
- Generate reports and perform data analysis using Excel and reporting tools
- Participate in special projects to improve inventory accuracy and operational efficiency
- 2+ years of experience in logistics, inventory control, warehousing, or supply chain operations
- Manufacturing or warehouse environment experience required
- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, reporting)
- Experience with ERP and warehouse management systems preferred
- High attention to detail with strong organizational and follow-up skills
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines in a remote setting
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
- Mostly remote schedule
