Develop and implement comprehensive retail planning strategies to drive sales, profitability, and operational efficiency.
Align retail plans with overall business and financial goals, ensuring the best use of resources.
Lead cross-functional collaboration between buying, merchandising, and store operations teams for seamless execution of retail strategies.
Sales & Demand Forecasting
Create and manage accurate sales forecasts based on historical data, market trends, and business objectives.
Use advanced forecasting models to predict demand and adjust plans for seasonal trends and promotional events.
Regularly review sales performance against targets, providing corrective actions as needed.
Inventory & Assortment Planning
Oversee the development of inventory plans that align with store needs, ensuring optimal stock levels and efficient stock turnover.
Lead the planning of product assortment strategies by store and region to maximize sales and profitability.
Monitor and manage product life cycles, ensuring timely introduction of new products and smooth clearance of outdated stock.
Replenishment & Allocation
Ensure timely and accurate allocation of stock to stores and warehouses, based on demand forecasts and sales trends.
Work with logistics and operations teams to optimize the replenishment process and reduce out-of-stocks or overstock situations.
Implement strategies for inventory control and stock movement optimization across multiple retail channels.
Collaboration & Communication
Collaborate with marketing and merchandising teams to align promotional plans and product launches with retail operations.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with store managers, ensuring alignment on sales, stock levels, and store-specific needs.
Communicate effectively with senior leadership to ensure alignment on business objectives and reporting metrics.
Team Leadership & Development
Lead, mentor, and develop the retail planning team, setting clear goals and providing guidance on best practices.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging innovation and the use of new technologies to improve planning accuracy and efficiency.
