A fast-growing, digital-first consumer brand in the  affordable luxury space  is looking to hire a  Head of Product / Merchandise  to build and institutionalize a strong merchandising engine that supports profitable and sustainable scale across D2C, marketplaces, and retail.

Industry Preferred:  Fashion, Accessories, Lifestyle, Consumer D2C brands (digital-first)

Experience & Skills
5–6+ years of experience in merchandising, category management, or commercial planning
Proven experience with D2C and marketplace-led consumer brands
Strong understanding of merchandising metrics and inventory economics
High analytical and financial acumen with the ability to build systems from scratch
Strong cross-functional stakeholder management and execution rigor

Role Overview
This role will own the end-to-end merchandising framework, including product architecture, channel-wise assortment strategy, pricing and discount guardrails, OTB planning, inventory discipline, and sales-led decision systems. The mandate is to drive scale without compromising brand equity or profitability.

Key Responsibilities
Build and implement a structured merchandising rulebook across categories and channels
Define SKU classification, price ladders, depth vs. width logic, and lifecycle rules
Own channel-wise assortment strategy across D2C, marketplaces, and retail
Drive key commercial metrics including sell-through, WOC, GMROI, markdown efficiency, and margins
Lead OTB planning, replenishment logic, and inventory health
Establish operating cadence, SOPs, and scalable systems
Act as a strategic commercial partner to leadership and enable team capability building
